Electrical and Electronics engineering continues to be an ever demanding industry as indicated by the current trend for hiring graduates. The course in Electrical and Electronics Engineering encompasses the various aspects of Electrical and Electronics fields such as Power and Industrial Electronics, Advance Control System, Solid State Relays and Protection, Microprocessor Application and Computer Application to Power System Studies.
Electrical and electronics engineers are working today in all spheres of modern society, be it industrial control systems, Power systems, non conventional energy sources or DC and AC transmission systems.Started in the year2010, this program offers a unique mix of electrical, electronics and computer related courses enabling the students to take up a professional carrier/higher studies in any of these areas. Subjects on network theory, control systems, electrical machines, protection and power systems, power generation, transmission and distribution give the basic exposure to electrical fundamentals, where as analogue and digital circuits, microcontrollers, digital signal processing, advanced programming languages makes attractive blend of electrical & electronics thereby creating excellent placement opportunities in every sector.
Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering offers undergraduate and post graduate courses.
UNDERGRADUATE COURSES:-
This program offers a basic exposure to electrical fundamentals, like machines, power system. Control system, protection, analogue and digital circuits, microcontrollers, digital signal processing, advanced programming languages and makes an attractive blend of electrical & electronics thereby creating excellent placement opportunities in every sector. The students of this branch are placed in electrical & electronics related organization and software companies.
POSTGRADUATE COURSE:-
This program leads to specialization in one or more of the following areas:
The curriculum of M.Tech. includes a comprehensive twelve month individual project. Students are exposed to cutting edge technology in these projects, and work on research problems that often serve as spring-boards to Research and Development careers.
The department has fully equipped labs supervised by experienced faculty members. There are trained technicians to help the students in performing the experiments.
Machine Lab
Electromechanical Energy Conversion (EMEC) Laboratory is the one the oldest and important laboratory of Electrical Engineering Department. The lab is equipped with conventional and modern electrical& electronic measuring equipments and ac & dc electrical machines.
Control System Lab
Control System Lab exposes students & industry professional to study the fundamentals of Control System. Studies include how one device can be used to manage, command, direct, or regulate the behavior of other System Open Loop & Close Loop Control.
Basic Electrical lab
The first-hand knowledge in electrical circuits, AC & DC Machines and Drives is acquired. The lab is equipped with various motors along with their drives and measuring instruments. The characteristic ofmotors and generators are studied practically.
Electrical Drives Lab
The first-hand knowledge in electrical circuits, AC & DC Machines and Drives is acquired. The lab is equipped with various motors along with their drives and measuring instruments. The characteristic ofmotors and generators are studied practically.
Microprocessor Lab
This laboratory is used to provide intensive practical exposure to the students in the field of microprocessor architecture and industrial control through them. Different exercises in this lab includes Serial Data Communication between PC and 8085 microprocessor trainer kit, writing on EPROM and microcontroller Chip using UIP. The lab also provides the facility to interface the microprocessor with different circuits such Aas A/D converters, stepper motors, DC motors, multidigit displays, etc.
Communication Engineering Lab
Communication engineering laboratory focuses on training the students in both analog and digital transmission/reception of signal. The students here start in the analog area by constructing the circuits of amplitude modulation, frequency modulation and phase modulation. A mini AM transmitter is constructed by them in the MW frequency of electromagnetic spectrum and they do a live transmission with minimum power output. The signals are then received in a pocket AM radio. Learning the concepts, with small applications give them plenty of joy and real motivation towards their studies
Power Electronics Lab
The power electronics lab enhances the EEE students by providing them the better understanding of the concepts and working of advanced power semiconductor devices and power electronics circuits.
Project Lab
This lab has been developed to support senior design projects for undergraduate students. This lab provides basic for developing and implementing hardware and software for the projects. The lab also provides separate facility for lectures and presentations
Our Faculties & students have published research papers in various reputed national and international journals like IEEE, IJCA, IJIRTCC, IJEER, IJET; during their graduation and post graduation courses.
